Was not about adding new justices, but whether Congress should attempt to restrain what sort of cases the Supreme Court even sees, and if the Court would rule against that being Constitutional if Congress tried. Even new justices with a Democratic bent may rule against Congress taking away their authority on things.

With the majority, you can do away with the filibuster with a simple rule passed by Rules Committee.

Um, the President doesn't just appoint justices. They have to be confirmed by the Senate.

By "slippery slope" I just meant if impeach a Justice for a ruling we don't agree with it would be unprecedented
