In reply to the discussion: Sometimes, You Want to Make a Political Statement [View all]Bernardo de La Paz

1. Wear a generic red hat.
2. maga says some brain-dead thing like "ain't it great!"
3. Make a non-commital response that refers to something specific which you've played out in your mind beforehand.
4. maga makes some bogus claim like "we'll get a tax cut because China will pay the tariffs."
5. "That's why Walmart is raising prices because China pays. Merry christmas."
6. Walk away.
(Easy for me to propose, I'm in Canada, where a red with white hat reminds of our flag.)

I know, maga ruined red hats. Which is shitty considering my baseball team is the Phillies

I agree, I fear real violence from frustration and anger. There's already demonstrations.

My reluctance to wearing a red hat is that people think you are an a-hole from distance even if it says, "Screw trump."

I was going to say I loved the ambiguity of it, and suspected that both were intended.
