5. I think the tariffs will be paid by China to the U.S. government.

Yesterday

China will proceed to increase the price of the merchandise which it sells to Walmart in order to offset its layout of tariff payments. Walmart will then either (a) "eat" the price increase implemented by China or, (b) pass the higher prices along to the consumers.
