In reply to the discussion: Biden was a great President who did a noble thing. [View all]EdmondDantes_

Yes some voters are racist and/or sexist. Yes the media ran a slant on Biden's condition. But also voters cared about inflation and immigration both of which the Biden administration didn't take action on until late in the game (particularly immigration). And there's a world wide trend towards anti-incumbent elections. And there's a case to be made that the Harris campaign made some crucial mistakes in a very close election. Shifting from the focus on Trump/Vance as weird, not having an answer to what would Harris have done differently, campaigning for the middle, not having an answer on trans issues. Trying to reduce things to factors outside of our control reduces our ability to have a better outcome next time

Honestly, I think she lost because of racism and misogyny. There may have been other factors.

Yes, 25% of registered Dems staying home, still beyond me in 2024 election. Unconscionable. Has anyone dug into that?

Yes, that's the reason. It is not an excuse for losing. It's the goddamn truth.

Harris lost because too many people are brainwashed by republican propaganda.
