68. I agree it's time for ACTION

Why would anyone consider this unreasonable criticism? This is a time for Activism. It is not enough to simply analyze or illuminate or document the damage that the Fascist Right is causing to our democracy. Not enough to post words on some backwater Internet forum.

We have to stop crying and get off our ass to get the ball moving. I like your ideas. And full disclosure I blame myself as much as anyone for how we got here. Should have been more politically active and engaged when I was a whippersnapper.

Remember when Lou Reed said the following in "There is No Time"?

This is no time for congratulations
This is no time to turn your back
This is no time for circumlocution
This is no time for learned speech

This is no time to count your blessings
This is no time for private gain
This is the time to put up or shut up
It won't come back this way again

This is no time for phony rhetoric
This is no time for political speech
This is a time for action
Because the future's within reach
