(36 posts)There is a certain logic to giving the republicans enough rope to hang themselves but these are extraordinary circumstances that call for aggressive tactics. They are counting on us becoming weary, depressed and overcome with the pace of their destruction. The lack of a focused, clear and loud counter message is only helping their efforts. Decorum is dead. The old rules were for yesterday's game. We are in completely new territory. All I can think of are those movies where a leader steps in front and rallies his (her) troops when facing overwhelming opposing forces. We have the numbers. We have the message. We remember the promise of America. Damn it, give us a voice, a vision for a better future, a call to arms... hundreds of millions are desperately listening for something and will step up.
I don't understand the current mindset of so many in Congress. We lack power in the 3 branches but we must not yield an inch. Not give them a single vote. They have demonstrated their loyalties to Trump/Putin and no longer have the best interests of the country or it's citizens. Our last hope may be the midterms. Efforts must start NOW.
