Early voting starts tomorrow and I plan on getting my vote in this week. The wife hates doing it in person so she votes via absentee ballot, but I actually enjoy doing it at the county building. Makes me feel a part of something much bigger than myself.

It is a bit disconcerting, though, that with just a name you can find all that info on a person. My search brought up several people with names similar to mine. Yeah yeah public information, yada yada, I know. But that's from a bygone era when, if you wanted to look up someone you had to get in your car and drive downtown, find a place to park, hoof it to an office and then stand in line for an eternity before a clerk who strains to merely tolerate your existence hands you a dusty book the size of a '58 Buick. Ah, the good ol' days.
