As a car enthusiast, I recognize that not everyone is.
To read this: "They're slow, not as good on gas as you'd think they'd be, they're cramped to sit in, they feel extremely cheap built, they don't ride or steer particularly good. The design is uninspired and clearly designed to be fleet rental cars and that's it. There are so many better vehicles for a similar price it's not funny."
I wonder if this poster realizes the blasphemy of speaking about the 1966 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350-H in such a manner. Literally a rental car, would get it's doors blown off by a modern Toyota Camry (and by quite the embarrassing amount). According to MotorTrend, the new Prius Prime would also take the Shelby down (barely). $200k+ for a good one of these now. Something to think about.
Opinions on cars are fun when taken like this. I'm not a fan of the modern lifted-jellybean-hatchback that crossovers (?) have become. But, I can recognize that not everyone wants an enthusiast vehicle. If I had a young family, couple of kids that need to get to after school events, such that I need space and 4 seats, and I expressly didn't want a minivan, I don't know that the Equinox/Terrain is so bad. $40k out the door with full safety options, Bose stereo, heated and ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, full warranty, etc, doesn't sound like such a bad deal for such an appliance. I also recognize that if we want Corvettes, Chevy will need to sell more responsible vehicles. And we want Corvettes.
Oh, and their take on the "people" who buy the Equinox/Terrain is just shit, spoken by an idiot with what I assume to be underlying terrible opinions on them.
For the record, I love the Shelby. I know this didn't really have anything to do with cars. Pointing out that someone is kind of a moron on multiple levels was my point.
