It clearly says in the instructions for both form DS-11 (new passport) and DS-82 (renew passport) that glasses and head coverings must be removed for the picture.

We made our own photos.

I read reviews on Google maps of Post Offices in my area offering passport services. They suck! They f*cked people left and right in various ways.

I went to the county courthouse instead. The appointment had to be set one month in advance, and that was three weeks ago.

Two weeks before my appointment, another friend just walked into one of these Post Offices without an appointment and got it done without any problems.

Another friend just received hers. It came four months after applying.

I don't think this is DeJoy's doing. I think the government bureaucracy is in flux trying to adjust to the increased demand for passports after a pandemic that had a lot of people working from home.
