In the 60's when the Grey Panthers were making news, the people weren't as divided as they are today. While this should rally everyone who's of a certain age, it won't. I'm not sure how to make an impact, but something has to before they get too far down this road. There's the "life's not fair" adage of life eternal, and then there's "something has to be done" adage. Democrats, for all the good they do, are horrible at messaging. They should be reassuring us elders that nothing is going to happen to our SS checks, but here we are, left blowing in the wind, while Rand Paul is screaming about forcing a vote.

I used to be a huge newshound. I've backed down a lot since those days, but I think I need to back down some more. Do some thinking, do some talking with friends, and see if we can come up with any kind of plan beyond airing our screams.
