6. This medication isn't going anywhere.

Republicans got their smack down from Big Pharma when 150 CEOs of the top pharmaceutical companies reminded them who owns them (i.e., who donates BIG $$$) with a letter to the RNC a few weeks ago. Mifipristone is a huge money maker for them. They are NOT going to have some backwater, right-wing christian zealot rube judge reach back 23 years into FDA approval and withdraw a medication retro-actively based on his ludicrous citations (including internet postings, and the Comstock Act, which Congress nullified in 1957), and his personally unreported background support of anti-abortion christian causes. Big Pharma doesn't give a rodent's round rump about religion. All they care about is the (very profitable bottom line of mifipristone) money.

Also, if some hand-picked judge can retro-actively remove one drug from sale, who's to say where this ends ? Not happening.

Also, for those more legally-attuned, the people who brought this lawsuit have NO standing -- they cannot show harm or intent of harm to them from this Rx. His ruling should be ignored based on that alone.

As much as republicans would love to see this drug outlawed, they also know who their donors are.
