A few days ago I posted about my Grandchildren and the school shooting [View all]

in one of the district's high schools. https://www.democraticunderground.com/100217746593 What I didn't post was a followup two days later when there was another high school shooting in Arlington ISD.

Now we hear from TN.

It's awful. But ya' know what? For every one of the children shot in school shootings three are shot in domestic disputes. THREE. Mommy and Daddy had a fight and the kids get shot.

What's really sick about this is there is no excuse for it. The shooter is almost always known to police. There's a federal law prohibiting convicted Domestic Abusers from buying guns. In most municipalities the abuser is supposed to have his guns removed. It's already on the books.

Why? Why why why?

If you do nothing else this week, pick up the phone and call your local law enforcement or Mayor and ask if they are aware of domestic abuse gun laws and red flag laws.
