Of the forced birth movement is that they have made getting pregnant at a very young age, and out of wedlock, something that no longer needs to be hidden away.

When I was a teenager, Bobo's grandchild's mother would have been shipped off to give birth in secret and forced to adopt out her baby because of the stigma. Or she would have had a back alley abortion and had a 50/50 chance of surviving.

Having babies at a young age still can ruin a woman's education and career chances and can cause her to remain in poverty all her life. But at least they don't have to run away and hide.
