11. My great aunt had bad shingles at the age of 98 after being on a cruise ship.

Some drunk also fell against her and fractured her ankle on that trip also. It ended up being just too much for her. She had to go to hospital; ended up developing pneumonia while recouperating and passed after two months in hospital. Her last week was in an induced coma while her lawyers did their best to rip off her estate. She wasn't a complainer, but it must have been pretty brutal from what she let slip in those last letters she dictated while in hospital - that we didn't get from the lawyers until six months after she passed. Not the way I'd want to go.

And it had been the second time she had shingles, she had a milder case in her early '80's.
