That peacefully agreeing to disagree is fundamental to a free society, no matter how reprehensible we may find someone's view. It's using that view to cause harm and take away other's rights that's the problem, not simply thinking differently.

But I don't agree with your example about income and wealth taxes. It is obvious in my mind that no fetters at all on wealth accumulation can easily short circuit a democracy and leave the vast majority of us no better off than the average, deluded Russian. We just need to work out what the rates should be to stop that from happening. Otherwise, the very wealthy will pay half of the not very wealthy to kill the other half. And won't have to pay them much to do it.
