Every time I get one of those "This is not a bill" quarterly summary of my Medicare Part B medical expenses. There is always a section in the doctor's bill section that includes sequestered amount.

I would love to hear reporters interviewing any Republican rep or senator over age 70 ask them if they are already collecting Social Security themselves, are they registered with Medicare? Wealthy people NEVER leave money on the table when it comes to their finances, even amounts small in comparison to their main sources of income. Do they themselves intend to draw from Social Security in the future?

I don't begrudge them collecting their portion of Social Security. They paid in and they are entitled to participate in the program. But the point is they are ENTITLED to it. But so is anyone else who has paid into the system. That has always been the point of the program. It was designed so that no American would be destitute after a lifetime of working. Ironically it was designed to augment a pension from the employer or union, plus their own individual savings. But even if the worker for some reason had to use their personal retirement savings for an emergency, they would never be completely penniless.

But the oligarchs want everyone to work for whatever they, the employer, is willing to pay and blame the employee if he cannot save for their future retirement, no pension, everything on the employee.
