In reply to the discussion: Mastodon.art just banned AI art [View all]Mossfern
(4,407 posts)53. I'm curious
As I am a person who's basically a Luddite, can you give me an example of what a dalle statement for conceptual art would be?
The statement I was referring to in my post would be about the piece itself - otherwise a smudge on the wall is just a smudge on the wall. That's my concept of what conceptual art would be. Way back in the early 70's I displayed a conceptual piece, it was interesting, but the piece itself required human presence and the response was unexpected, but interesting.
I have absolutely no idea of the technicalities of AI created art, music, prose.
As I said before, I'm just an old fart suffering future shock way more that I ever thought I would.

No, AI is like telling someone else to create a collage. It's fake creativity.

There's not inherently wrong with AI, anymore than there is anything wrong with phone cameras.

There is little or no art in giving instructions to AI. You could take words

Whats that sentence that art-snobs say to people who question their own favored method of art?

And you need to be skilled to spin the words to get the AI to output what you need...
