But before that it was required to be covid vaccinated obviously as they said in the email they have now changed their policy because of what Adams did, and are no longer requiring it to attend classes. I am not sure if they are a private entity or not but I guess so since that’s what they said in the email- that was the reason why their policy has changed.
Schools require core vaccinations for students to attend them and that has been the policy at my university for years. And now due to Covid they are suddenly allowing students who have not met the other vaccination requirements to attend classes, that was never done before Covid, so they’re changing all of the rules now due to fear of the fascist insanity of the society.
It was the policy when I attended school and now they are changing the rules because of Covid- it’s so obvious that many facilities are run by cowards and politicians are bending the rules to fit their views or due to fear or cowardice. All they care about is the bottom line. And that was all they cared about in the beginning of the pandemic too because they didn’t shut down early enough - if they had shut down earlier and told people to wear masks before that I would never have gotten Covid in the beginning of the pandemic which has caused me long-term damage.
Agree about the stupid but it is also pure insanity here now. Insanity rules.
But I disagree about not having vaccine mandates everywhere. If you want to participate in public society you have to be vaccinated and not endanger others. otherwise you should stay home or wear a mask everywhere you go…some people obviously cannot be vaccinated for a true medical reason and those will be the only exceptions, in that case they would probably want to protect themselves by wearing a mask anyway I would guess.
The ASL is a school but it may be privately run, but they still chose to require vaccines up until now. The public schools have had vaccine mandates for years now. The problem is some of them, such as community colleges, can get away with for instance requiring students to be vaccinated in order to attend classes but not the employees because they are community institutions which are not held to the same standard which is really crazy. They are getting a lot federal funding so they should be held to the same standard as all of the other public schools and universities are.
The ASL oddly is allowing instructors to require students to wear a mask so they know they could be held liable if an instructor becomes ill due to their new policy.
