1. Prosecutors asked for 17.5 years, which was the low end of the sentencing guideline.

So rather disappointing, but not so surprising given prior sentences. 10 is a big step up from the previous longest for a J6 goon (7.25, a couple guys)

OTOH, during the preamble the judge dressed him down pretty good for lying in his testimony, which had given me a little hope we'd see that 17.5. It's pretty frustrating seeing these judges scorching the convicts verbally and then under-shooting the sentencing guidelines and prosecutors' requests. It's happened repeatedly now.
