9. Do They Even Have A Choice?.....

They are so invested in him by supporting him thru all his lies, impeachments and antics - they would look even worse now if they didn't continue to circle the wagons for him.

They also know he will take them down faster if they abandon him now. He'll turn on them in a shot and take his cult with him.

Either way they are screwed. They're going down either way.

I think they are hoping someone else takes him down so they can tell his cult they supported him all the way. They don't want to shoulder any of the blame for his demise.

They think they'll inherit the support of his cult that way.

This is just my humble opinion.
