This is one of the reasons The DOJ is requesting the transcripts from the committee. They want to see what the witnesses, people they may be investigating, have said to the committee. They have to make sure it matches with their interviews, investigation. Commonsense.

The committee, once the hearings are over, will fully cooperate with the DOJ. They will combine all the evidence from the two separate investigations.

We know a lot of the people the committee has interviewed, questioned. We don't know a lot about who the DOJ has interviewed, questioned.
