2. It's just so hard to "both sides" something when only one side is doing it

Give Pete a break, he's trying to make bricks without any straw. And since he traded in his personal and professional integrity for a sinecure at Fox, he's got to make do with what he's got. It's kind of sad, except for the part where he gets paid to be a fool.
