13. Is it because we're a large country that we seem to have excessive depravity?

We have millions of kids in foster care because they have abusive parents. How a parent, or anyone, can abuse a helpless child is beyond understanding. Domestic abuse of a spouse or partner is often given a slap on the wrist until one of them, usually the woman, is dead.

What is also beyond understanding is that 74 million people who voted for a man so depraved that he thought it was fun to rip babies from their parents’ arms, some never to be seen again, solely because they are brown and speak another language, encouraged by another depraved soulless individual named Stephen Miller. A man so depraved he wanted officers to shoot innocent peaceful protesters simply because they were outside his house, which in reality was their house because they are citizens. A man who said journalists should be executed for criticizing him.

A population that loves guns so much that thousands of deaths are acceptable so they can carry their guns around to threaten people—and some of them to murder people.

A population where many believe LGBTQ have no right to live and should be executed.

A population that believes that women have no rights to their own bodies and must be controlled by ignorant politicians.

I know there is depravity in other countries, but we seem to have more than our fair share here. And instead of trying to lessen it, we have a Republican Party that stokes it and encourages their violence. For people who claim to be so religious, they fail to exhibit even one iota of brotherly love.
