57. Ineffective because it didn't stop all gun violence

Or ineffective on a statistical basis? And how would we know? The GOP prohibits the CDC from treating gun violence as a public health problem. The upshot there is that there is no data to work with. So gun control advocates can be marginalized because the can’t support claims with data. It is a two edged sword though. Silencing Galileo didn’t make the moons of Jupiter disappear.
