Ignorance is a lack of knowledge of something. A lack of exposure. Certainly Vance can be ignorant, but I don't think that is what motivates his actions.

He knows that there is NO causal connection or even any significant correlation with porn and explicit sexual pictures/movies/etc... and mass murder. Can it be a problem for people? Sure, as can anything that is undertaken compulsively or which dominates a person's life. Abortion? I don't even know.

Vance is not ignorant. He is power hungry and he knows that many of his constituents are ignorant. He is purposefully conflating issues that his constituents are emotionally activated about in order to keep them primed. He is a piece of shit.
