2. How do you explain all the state constitutions

the Rhode Island constitution says:

Section 4. Slavery prohibited.

Slavery shall not be permitted in this state


It also says:

Section 22. Right to bear arms.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed


No mention of militias and obviously nothing to do with slavery.

In every one of the original states, they added a 2A like clause to their state constitutions, including all the states that were anti-slavery. And not every state had a militia clause.
