Since the current majority of USSC likes Originalism, I can argue against [View all]

the Second Amendment being expanded to all citizens.

1. The Revolutionary War ended more than 200 years ago. Militias are no longer necessary for defense of the colonies.

2. The original concept behind the Second Amendment was to allow posses to capture and return any slave that escaped from his/her owner. Slavery is gone.

3. No other original purpose exists to justify the Second Amendment.
