Especially to programs in states that are racially gerrymandering and making it harder for minorities to vote.

The greater the talent, the better it would be if said athlete holds a press conference to make his or her matriculation decision and to say why he or she would never play in a state that promotes discrimination. Multiple blue-chip recruits need to make this statement every year, announcing their intent to not attend schools in, say, Texas, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Make fans in these states squeal because blue-chip players won't attend school at Big State U. Make them cry when their favorite Big State U football or basketball program falls from greatness.

Racism has consequences.
