If anything I'd say 75 years of communist atheism and propaganda created a moral wasteland in Russia which may partly explain so much support for Putin's criminal invasion. I don't know how much that has changed in the past 30 years but maybe not much if the Russian Orthodox Church is in bed with Putin.
