US M$M and Ukrainians think a No Fly Zone applies to artillery, IT DOESN'T !!! [View all]

I'm hearing a fairly educated UKR PM talk about the shelling of UKR cities in relation to the No Fly Zone (NFZ) or Combat Air Patrol (CAP).

In NATO lingo a No Fly Zone (NFZ) or Combat Air Patrol (CAP) relate 99% to airplanes and helicopters.
I NO DOUBT would put money on it that the Ukrainians think CAPS/NFZs apply to Russian artillery including cruise missiles because of the translation to them might mean **ANYTHING** in the air including the aforementioned munitions.

CAPs and NFZ are NOT very effective against mobile artillery because the artillery isn't set like in WWII they're mobile meaning the fire and move as quickly as possible **BEFORE** air assets get on station.

The US M$M needs to correct people as soon as possible because this no doubt looks like a phrase that's lost in translation.
