These people amaze me. I have participated in lots of protests, and it was super easy. No question of having to ever pay any price whatsoever. All I had to do was go to wherever it was being held, wave my sign around, march (if that was part of it), chant slogans, and then go home again without a care in the world. Nothing to it.

I don't know that I'd have the guts to do what those Russians did. You like to think you'd have the backbone, but would I, really? I honestly don't know. I am in awe of anyone who is brave enough to do this, knowing that they may pay the ultimate price for it.

My har is truly off to these brave Russians.
