This is to make sure teachers don't say anything that'll offend one child's "deeply held religious beliefs."

Which they've had for all of one day.

And you do understand that a lot of kids will be using these kinds of laws to get rid of teachers they just don't like.

"Today, class, we will study the concept of latitude and longitude. Everyone please look at the globe. You will notice there are lines that go around the circumference of the globe. These are lines of latitude."

"Mrs. Smith, are you saying that you believe the earth is round?"

"That is correct, Johnny. The earth is indeed round."

"Well teacher, that conflicts with my deeply held religious belief that the earth is flat. I'm going to report you. You're going to be fined $10,000 and lose your teaching license for this."

(Teacher looks up...) "How did it ever come to this?"
