- no sex education about where babies come from
- no sex education about birth control methods
- no sex education about STDs
- no education for prepubescent girls about menstruation
- no biology classes about evolution
- no discussion with boys nabout erections, masterbation, and wet dreams
- no dissecting frogs to see their reproductive organs
- certainly no mention ever about slavery or reconstruction
