People from across the south sent Brooks new canes in support of his violent act. Who wouldn't expect the same reaction from MAGAts if a similar incident happened today. Violence and the threat of same has always been a pillar of the racist, authoritarian mindset, even in a democracy. It still is, as is being demonstrated on a regular basis.
