Vaccination Refuser Pisses Off Football Fans

Minnesotans love their Vikings. At least they do when the Vikings win, which they do from time to time. However, this week the state's loyal Vikings fans have something else to think about. Kirk Cousins, the team's vastly overpaid but sometimes OK quarterback, will miss tonight's game against the arch-rival Green Bay Packers. Why? Because he has COVID-19.

A breakthrough case? Nope. He refused to get vaccinated. He was on TV, explaining that he "has his freedoms." Some fans cheered his obstinacy, because they're really stupid. Dude caught the COVID, as you might expect. Now, he can't play, and boy, are Vikings fans pissed off. I mean, unless the hapless Vikings win tonight, which they won't with their alternative QB, and win their next game, they're out of the playoffs. Never mind that they always lose in the playoffs and have never won a Super Bowl. Their fans are righteously pissed off at Kirk Cousins for screwing up the season.

Over and over again, right-wing heroes fall victim to COVID-19. They get cheered when they refuse to take the vaccine, because really stupid. Then, when they get sick, the cheers stop, and the excuses start. But, do the fans of people like that run out and get their vaccines? Probably not. If they're stupid enough not to have already gotten them, they're stupid enough to find one more rationalization for not doing so, even when their local hero disappoints them.

And this is why the right-wingers fail, in the end. They have the power to deceive themselves about everything. They have deceived themselves into thinking January 6 was a "peaceful demonstration." They have deceived themselves into believing that the former President is a wonderful, powerful human being. They have deceived themselves into believing they are immortal, despite their heroes catching COVID-19, as you might expect vaccine-refusers to do.

So, Minnesota Vikings fans, your team will lose again tonight. You'll rationalize that away, too. You're used to them losing. But, they'll lose this time because their moronic QB, Kirk Cousins, refused to get vaccinated. Go get your vaccines, folks. You've fooled your dumbass selves long enough, doncha think?
