violence towards health care workers, something I, my colleagues, and several family members have experienced first hand. Ditto against public health workers, educators, and local elected officials trying to carry out their duties. THIS is the kind of guy showing up in ERs, school board meetings, waiting in parking lots to accost public health workers performing contact tracing. People NEED to know. And I always post thanks to the OP for bringing the HCW abuse again to the attention of DUers--several who inevitably express shock that violence has now exceeding verbal abuse toward the very people putting their lives on the line to try to save others--thereby making it clear they had ignored or simply not seen the truth of this prior.

So, no. Ignore the posts, trash the threads, or whatever you need to do personally, but we can NOT turn a blind eye to what is happening.

That is the basis for one hell of a lot of dangerous and damaging apathy in this country. The extremist RW depends on it.
