No sane person is flying anywhere these days. If the COVID danger isn't enough, there's also the ever-present danger that your flight has a MAGA on board that wants to have their usual tantrum and force the plane to divert to cart him off (assuming he doesn't open the the cabin door or attack the crew with his box cutter first.)
