And he knows a whole lot more than some freak screaming slurs at him in an ice cream shop. I'd say there probably isn't a whole lot that Joe Biden has not seen or heard, so it is probably easy for him to let a lot of it just slide off. The exceptions might be anything cruel or very personal.

In his mind, he could be thinking, "Hey Jack, I'm President and you're not." Ever since he became president, he has been extraordinarily cool and collected.
