8. That routine is almost 50 years old, and he wanted a rerun?

The Firesign Theater on one of their comedy albums had a game show called „Beat The Reaper.“ The contestants were injected with a disease and had ten seconds to guess, from the symptoms, what it was. If they were able to guess the disease, they got an immediate antidote. If not, well, the mc said, „awwww, he didn‘t beat the Reaper.“

Dark humor, and probably NOT the sort of thing they expected some PM of Great Britain to actually pull in real life. Of course, there‘s a LOT of really crazy stuff going on now that people never would have thought conceivable 50 years ago.
