2022 Starts now! [View all]

What a great week for our Democracy. Biden hit the ground running and is delivering for the American people.

2022 starts now though. Biden got over 81 million votes, that is barely mentioned, but it's a huge deal. Millions may have just registered to vote against Trump, but these are Dem voters now and keeping them engaged is the key to 2022 and beyond.

The first midterm under a new President usually goes poorly for the President's party, but we can stop that trend in 2022. Trump not being on the ballot is a huge opportunity to not lose, but gain seats in Congress. I believe we'll gain seats in the Senate no matter what, it's dooms day for the GOP in the Senate, way too many seats to defend and too many Senators leaving. Dems should be up to 55-45 in the Senate no problem.

Holding the House is trickier, but I think 2020 was kind of fluky.

Keeping our new voters engaged, delivering for them, and tying Trump to the necks of the GOP are the key. Trump will probably campaign some, but mostly he'll just campaign to complain about 2020, he'll hurt the GOP turnout if that's all he does.

I believe we can get massive reform right now. I believe things like SCOTUS reform will have to wait until after 2022.
