5. There are two Jimmie Rodgers!

The pioneer was from Mississippi: 1897-1933

This Jimmie Rodgers was from Washington State. Appeared on the charts, late 50's, early 60's, country/pop

Ironically they both had their careers cut short. The first one died very young. The one who just died had Spasmodic Dysphonia, a vocal disorder that affects the nerves and muscles that control the larynx.
