In reply to the discussion: The Backfire Effect: why Obama didn't call out Romney. [View all]DaveJ
(5,023 posts)I, personally, want to vote for Obama even more after last night. I like him more now. He seems more human. My wife is constantly getting on me about eye contact, and I try to tell her that extrovert is not better than introvert (that's me). A lot of people think that, but it's not true at all. If people think that, they need to learn that they are wrong! Wrong. totally wrong. Romney is evil, and it makes total rational sense not to look evil in the face. Romney is a nobody and it makes perfect sense that the President has much more important things on his mind. Everything about Obama's demeanor made sense. And I totally understand this theory about eye contact and professional speeches, something that I will never be good at. That's because it does not come naturally, I feel it is wrong to assume that extroversion is right. I'm certain most people disagree with me but that's ok. Not everyone is the same.
