12. They pronounce "parler" as "parlor" -- that's how dumb it is -- a French word mispronounced

(“Parler” = “to speak” in French yet they insist it should be pronounced as “parlor” because they think that sounds like a salon-type of meeting space as in enlightenment era France...yes I am serious)

And on top of that nobody really uses it — it was a bad idea poorly executed
