7. They are actually getting paid

We got a $10,000,000 grant to supplement the Elections Board budgeted money (plus some CARES Act funds), to get us through this election - including hiring/paying staff (there are 3, 8 hour shifts of them), buying PPE for that staff, purchasing equipment like brand new letter extractors and brand new high-speed scanners, plus buying supplies (like the boxes, paper, stickers, bins, etc), and I expect also to pay for leasing that space in the Convention Center for the operation.
