search under Amazon Prime deals for magazines and once there search for Washington Post (or scroll)
The deal is one month free and then three months for $.99. They will notify you when that rate ends before renewing at any other rate. That will get you through the election, inauguration, and a bit further and then you can either cancel, continue or find another subscription deal.
Seems like a no-brainer--especially since their paywall is so limiting.
