His only gambit will be to flee the country.

But, then the judge will seize property and other assets to persuade him to return.

There really isn't a federal angle here. And there is little room to appeal within the new york judicial system.

He will likely show up, and make some absurd claims about immunity. Not sure how far he can plead the fifth in this case. But he will certainly do that where he can. That's fine, it's his right.

But his failure to cooperate is a lynchpin in nys corrupt practices laws (rogh equivelant to fed rico charges).
