I'm sure they view all services as essential right now.

Other companies that are able to operate remotely are encouraging employees to take time now. Part of that is legitimate - it is a stressful time and distraction can be good. part of it is enlightened self- interest. When this thing is declared finally over, people are going to want to party, go to amusement parks, see ball games, and otherwise get into crowds.
