he is trying to make the point that people are not smart, they don't have a long attention span, and they aren't focussing on this.

Is he right? For some people maybe. Anyone under a red hat fits that description. But does the general public or even msnbc's audience?

We need both messages. Now the tee-vee surogates need to flood the zone with the simple message; he broke the law and he should be removed from office. Yes, laws were broken. But that doesn't need to be proved.
