114. Sociopath and Malignant Narcissist

Look at our society. Supposedly ruled by law. It operates well as people follow those laws and social norms. When you go to work in the morning, everyone drives on the right side of the road. Someone sneezes and you get people saying "Bless You!". People do not show up to work naked, most often. Enter the sociopath. I challenge you to look at people in your own circle or experience. I have seen time and time again where people who blatantly do not follow norms to their own advantage do not suffer consequence. They gas light the world around them. People who are not sociopath are not equipped mentally to deal with people who have no inner emotional compass. Our organizations are not equipped to deal with it and our government is not equipped either. Small example. Look at the companies or organizations you work in. How many times have you seen someone who does not follow norms get rewarded, promoted or just have had their behavior ignored while those that follow the rules are literally dumped on, worked to death, fired, etc. I see it every day. When I think of doing the same thing, I hard cringe inside. THAT is the difference. We can't believe that others do not think as we do or have that natural sense of right and wrong. We believe in karma, consequence, law and order, you name it, but we think all of these things protect us or keep the order for us. Yet in practice watch how people become deer in headlights when faced with sociopath behavior or they just believe it cannot be true and they become followers. They keep to the norms, the sociopath does not. And then after some particularly evil deed, there is all of the shock and hand wringing but seemingly no solution. It just can't be true! It must be something we are not seeing right! Something will be done, someone will stand up to them! There is no consequence so the sociopath must be right! Surely this man cannot for instance lust after his own daughter! Sociopaths in my opinion have the ability to cut through our society like butter and it will be our demise. Perhaps some evolutionary kill switch?
