In reply to the discussion: What evil force drives and protects Trump? [View all]I'm not religious but I am a believer and follower of Christ. I know a little bit about the Bible. Having said this, I can understand how some people scratch their heads at the Trump followers. Women who wear homemade t-shirts that say "Trump can grab my pu**y anytime". I bet these women are in church front & center every Sunday. Or evangelicals who say this man was appointed/annointed by God.
This is a man who raped his wife, a serial adulterer, a man who admitted on radio that he lusts for his daughter, a man who proudly states that he has never, ever changed the diaper of any of his 5 children, he has admitted to assaulting women, a man who misquoted not only Scripture, but doesn't know the correct pronunciation of a familiar book of the Bible. Yet evangelicals love him! I don't even pretend to understand.
What I do know is that the Bible speaks of "types" of antichrists. People who are so inherently evil that one can only surmise that they are under the influence of Old Scratch himself - Satan. Jesus said we would know them by their fruit. God's fruit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness, self control. Do we see any of these attributes in Trump? Of course not, what we see are the works of the flesh; adultery, fornication, envy, seditions, hatred, strife - and this is not even a complete list!
The question remains, why are people, especially evangelicals supporting someone so anti-Christ?
